About a quarter mile off the northern coast of Vieques, Puerto Rico. I would bike out here for a swim in the morning or evening at least twice a week. When the sun would dip below the clouds, Pirate Mountain would often light up and glow orange for a few minutes.
I’ve swum here with a manta ray, barracuda, green sea turtles, and a swarm of moon jellyfish.
