Came across this image I grabbed from my friend’s Cessna 182 as we flew it from Vieques Island to New Mexico.
The Arecibo observatory was a fun place to visit and I’ve listened to many hours of the space recordings while filming time lapses of the Milky Way. There’s a hiking trail around the rim of the dish that opens into a cow field next to a river. I’ve camped there several times and it’s one of the most peaceful places I’ve been in Puerto Rico.
